Knockpatrick is here:We leave Reagan Saturday morning and will arrive in Jamaica around 2:30pm. Since we are going to be flying into Montego Bay (Mo' Bay) Airport, which is on the west coast of the island, we will be taking this route to get to the deaf school at Knockpatrick:
Our horse-drawn carriage of choice will be a van with fold-down seats. It's a bumpy ride; snacks will include Dramamine and saltine crackers. We can't wait to share more information and pictures with you upon our return. For now, please be praying for our team this week. Prayer for wisdom and energy for the leaders: Doug, Jeff, Lindsey, and Paul. Praise God for allowing Paul to go last minute in Joe's absence, and for working out all of the details of that switch with relative ease.
Pray for the kids: Dylan, Mike, Andrew, Emily, Josh, David, Jeremy, Jack, Krystle and Grant. We know that they have the opportunity to be blessed as much as the people we are hoping to serve. Pray that the Lord would work mightily in their hearts and minds during this week. Pray for energy for them as well, for positive attitudes, safe travel and good health!
And finally, pray for the ministry of Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf, for their school in Knockpatrick where we will be staying, for the students who learn about the Gospel there during the school year and for the missionaries that reach out to the Knockpatrick community on a daily basis. We hope that the work we do this week will be a blessing to them in the months to come, and in ways seen and unseen.
Thank you for your prayers and support. See you in a week!
